The lower bar or line (with notes) would display the order in which events are believed to have occurred. The upper bar or line (again with nodes) would show the order in which the same events appear in a story or narrative. The user could then do at least two things: (i) check to see that the story has a full complements of events and leaves no important gaps; and (ii) use the time line (the lower line) to guide the development of a persuasive story. For purpose #(ii) a bar or line depicting a probable scenario should also be put on the card.
