Tim van Gelder: AI as - or versus - Human Intelligence Amplification

A vast amount (of hokum) has been written about artificial intelligence, but not enough has been written about artificial intelligence as a tool, about the the use of artificial intelligence - or, more simply, computer technology - to amplify, or expand, "ordinary" human intelligence. Tim van Gelder is a refreshing counterexample: this guru emphasizes, not "autonomous" AI (or computational intelligence), but "intelligence amplification" through computer technology.
