Felix, my reasoned response: "Naah! Evidence is more important. A statute is just a statute. Now, evidence ... that's the path to the truth, more or less. (Or perhaps a statute is just evidence of the law? Mmmm. You know what: Those medievals were onto something.)" Now we have a tie vote: 1:1.
